The purpose of the LMU-DCOM chapter of AOCPMR is to educate
all students about the diverse specialty of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation, and unite students with the common goals of providing community
service, and increasing their knowledge of this specialty.
In addition the AOCPMR Club works to
unite students and physiatrists - establishing
stronger relationships in the PM&R community and offering students a
realistic and comprehensive insight into the field of PM&R.
Finally, the Club facilitates placement of
first-year members into related PM&R summer opportunities, provides financial
support as realistically feasible for interested members or officers to attend
national PM&R professional association meetings, and works to increase
successful matches of students with PM&R residencies.
